After a lot of research, they came to know it had been stitched by their neighbor in San Francisco around four decades back. The most amazing thing was how it is still have that same soft buttery touch of steer hide leather that is long lasting and will always be the gift for generations next from their forefathers.

The jacket is the nearest authentic replacement to my original flight jacket issued to me by the navy nearly forty years ago which was stolen. Other than being a bit darker than the original and a looser fit across the back at the waist, it’s bang on in all visible respects. The collar, cuffs, pockets, zipper tag, length, and waist band are exactly like the original naval issue.

I did not expect the weight and quality of the jacket. I am in my 70s 5″9″ 208 38″ waist and XL fits just right. The only thing I would have liked, is to have the front pockets slightly larger . I really like the jacket but can only wear it from Nov to March as it is very warm…If I wear a wool sweater with the jacket it is warm enough for quite cold weather particularly when I put the collar up….The jacket is surprisingly heavy and well made for the price. My son in law tried it on and would like to have one identical to mine. Would definitely purchase again

These jackets by Landing Leathers are surprisingly nice. I have pilot’s jackets from Avirex, LL Bean, and others, and the Landing Leathers coats compare very favorably, and have softer, warmer hand pockets than any of the others. They are also not so crazy expensive. An excellent choice for a flight jacket.

I love the jacket. So far, the only complaint is that the side pockets could have been a little wider to allow easier storage of gloves. Otherwise, the jacket is as described. I purchased a medium and I am 5’8″ 170 lbs.
